Role of the Crew Members
Each member of the crew is dedicated to making sure every charter guest is treated to a fantastic and memorable experience. They are highly trained professionals whose goal is to provide an experience that is completely personalized. Here is an overview of the responsibilities of the crew members aboard a luxury yacht charter.
The Captain
The Captain is responsible for the safety of everyone on board. There should be open communication between you and the Captain. If you have any questions or concerns, it should be brought to his or her attention. If you feel that the line of communication is not open or you are uncomfortable with your interaction, please contact your SYS Charter Specialist. We are available to guide you through any issues that may arise at any time during the charter.
The Deck Crew
The Deck Crew is responsible for maintaining the exterior of the yacht and caring for all the tenders and water toys. They are responsible for your safety while you’re having fun in the water. If you would like to use a variety of water toys during your charter please inform us, so we may inquire about yachts that have a large enough deck crew to accommodate your needs.
The Interior Staff
The interior crew members manage a variety of onboard amenities from food and beverage service, laundry, décor, wine selection, stateroom cleaning, and any other services that require management inside the yacht. The interior staff will ensure you are comfortable and have everything you need at all times during the charter.
The Chef
The Chef plays an incredibly important role and is one of the key figures onboard a luxury charter yacht. He or she is responsible for creating dishes that will provide the guests a memorable dining experience throughout their time onboard. Each meal they create is personalized to your particular palette. Before you board, our charter specialist will coordinate with the chef to prepare a menu plan based on your preferences. They are trained in multiple cuisines and can prepare an assortment of dishes. Any special considerations will be strictly adhered to, such as an all vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free menu.
